NICEIC Backed Warranty

Our customers have the peace of mind that comes with an Insurance Backed Warranty for work undertaken by contractors registered to the NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme that is notifiable to Building Control.

The purpose of the Warranty is to protect customers should any work be found not to comply with the Building Regulations under circumstances where the contractor is no longer in business to undertake the necessary remedial work.

The financial limit placed on the remedial work is £25,000 in respect of any one installation per period of insurance and the warranty is valid for a period of six years from the date of completion of the original work. NICEIC also offers further support for contractors and customers through a Platinum Promise.

Meet the Team

Alan came through the war years having been a founding member of the SAS and a member of the Royal Corps of Signals. He started the Company in 1950 which he ran with his wife Mary until they handed over the reigns to their son Richard. He always kept an interest in the business and was often a visitor to the offices where he was keen to see things operating as they should! Alan passed away aged 96 years in 2016 and is remembered very fondly and the Company lives on in his name.
